Apples Never Fall

by Liane Moriarty

Stan and Joy have recently retired from running a tennis academy in Australia when Joy goes missing.

Likes: fast-paced, told by multiple narrators, keeps you guessing until the very end, no one is perfect or completely horrible

Dislikes: a few of the minor plot points felt contrived (looking at you, Steffi!)

Overall: great for anyone who likes contemporary mysteries and/or thrillers.  Liane Moriarty at her best!

Haiku review:

Joy and Stan’s marriage

Ends in doubles or singles?

So many secrets.

“Any marriage of that many years has multiple motives for murder.  Every police officer and hairdresser knows that.”
